Medication Management
Medications may play a key role in treating a mental illness and symptoms. Deciding whether or not to take medications is based on your goals as a patient; coupled with weighing the benefits, and closely evaluating the risks and side effects related to your treatment options.

My priority is ensuring that you receive quality care. If the decision is to manage your illness with medications alone or with a combination of therapy, you will get personalized treatment and an individualized treatment plan.
Psychiatric medications require careful management and also should be paired with the proper diagnosis. Transitions in care can make it even more difficult. My services include medication management, along with education so that you may experience an improved quality of life and medication adherence.

Additionally, just because you start a medication, it does not mean that you will be taking this medication for life. Depending on your situation, diagnosis, presentations and re-evaluations, we may collectively make a decision to titrate your medication regimen. However, please remember that you should never stop taking medications without discussing your options and possible side effects of stopping psychiatric medications.

Prior to prescribing medications, I will take a close look into several factors, which may include: assessment, medical history, lifestyle, preferences, goals, presentation, and so on.
